Communication with parents
We aim to form a partnership with parents to promote their child’s learning. We recognise and value what each child brings to school, acknowledging that education starts at birth. Parents are encouraged to take an active part in the setting. We have many opportunities for parents to share their children’s learning, such as ‘Stay & Play’, ‘Stay & Snack’, ‘Story Cafés’, workshops, concerts and the sharing of our online learning journal, Tapestry.
We welcome parents who would like to share a special skill they may have or to help on a voluntary basis with activities such as playing games, reading stories, supporting role play, supporting ICT activities or art and craft and going to the swimming pool. We also need help on educational visits and outings.
We will also communicate with you through letters, the Tapestry journal, emails, our classroom outside notice boards and our text service, as well as our newsletter, school FaceBook page and website.
